The Fun We Have

 THE MINI COOPER

Caleb and Corbin are often found in costumes, not just on Halloween.  I buy the costumes after Halloween on clearance and they have so much fun with them.  When the mini Cooper came out, we had to get it for our boys.  When Caleb was in the NICU, the nurses called him "Mini Cooper" and we had a mini cooper toy car given to us by Josh's cousin that we had by his isolet.  They love driving it around, giving neighbor kids rides and letting the neighbor kids drive it too.  One of our neighbors has a red sports car for kids and they tend to want to switch because someone else's toys are always better than yours, right? :D
 THE AQUARIUM

At least once a year we like to go to the Aquarium.  My boys love all kinds of animals.  Corbin's favorite is the penguins and Caleb loves to touch the sting rays.  My boys love to go anywhere where they can explore and play.
 SWIMMING
This year was Caleb's first year in swimming lessons and he loved it!  Corbin liked to watch him, but mostly he loved that he got to play Angry Birds on daddy's phone while he did.  Both of our boys love to go play in the water, whether it is at a pool, splash pad, waterslides, slip and slide in our backyard, a hose on the tramp or running through sprinklers.
THE ZOO
We also go to the zoo at least once a year.  We have a friend who has two kids as well that we go to the zoo with every year.  It became a tradition and I'm not sure if my kids know that we can go with anyone else!  They love the animals, but I think one of their favorite things to do is ride on the train and the merry-go-round.  They love to see the monkeys and one year Corbin had his towel and stuck it on his head and the Chimpanzee had a blanket too and did the same thing.  It was so funny to see and such a funny story to tell them now.
The TOWEL

My sweet baby Corbin never really liked soft blankets, but loved to carry around dish towels (certain ones-we started with about six and are down to just two).  He is my snuggly baby and I just love that.  This picture was actually taken after we tried to feed him ice cream (which normally he LOVES), but he was so tired that he screamed the whole time until we stopped and gave him his towel.

 ICE CREAM

Who doesn't love ice cream!??!  I think we have it in our freezer at all times.  Our German friend said we are the "Ice Cream Family".  One of my favorite places to get ice cream is on Main Street in Disneyland.  I love the smell of their fresh waffle cones and the setting isn't too bad either!
WINTER TIME

We love warmer weather, but we also love to build snowmen, sledding, drinking hot chocolate, skiing and snowboarding (although we are lucky to go once a year now!), building snow forts and having snowball fights.
FAMILY PICTURES

Every year we do family pictures for our Christmas cards and it is always fun to figure out new locations and things to do.  We also do a family film every year.  It isn't easy getting all the outfits, scheduling everyone, making everyone happy about doing them, but every year I am so glad that we did and cherish the memories.

 DIRTY DASH

Last year Josh, his brothers, my brother and brother- in-law did the Dirty Dash.  I think it will become a tradition.  They all had so much fun and found out how in shape they really were.  They were a super-hero themed team, which my boys thought was super cool.
 DISNEYLAND

We love going to Disneyland.  We love going even more when it isn't very busy :D  Last year was we went with my parents and it was my dad's first time going.  My boys loved going on rides with their Papa.  Corbin is quite the Papa's boy.  I try to take some pictures while we are there, but a lot of the time we are just trying to have fun.  We love to eat at Ariel's Grotto to meet the characters and I am so excited to have a girl someday to take to the Bippity Boppity Boo Boutique!
 THE BEACH

One of our favorite places to go on vacation is anywhere with a beach.  We stayed in Oceanside right next to the shore and saw dolphins and the red tide that glowed at night when the waves crashed.  It was so amazing to see, although the fishermen told us that it killed the fish.  Our boys loved to put their feet in the water and throw rocks in the ocean.  They loved to collect rocks and try to find seashells.
 LEGOLAND

While we were in Oceanside, we went to Legoland.  We weren't planning on getting wet, but it was actually a warm day for October and we bought the boys swim suits so they could go play in the splash park.  We couldn't get them to leave, even though they had blue lips and were shaking since they don't have much meat on their bones!  They had so much fun riding all of the rides but one of their favorite parts was when we told them they could go pick out a toy in the gift shop.  Our boys LOVE Legos, so that part took a while :D
HALLOWEEN

This was actually on Halloween, even though they are in costume a lot :D  I love that they really think they are the characters that they are dressed up as.  They both act like they have real super powers and it cracks us up.  We also decorated our pumpkins to look like Angry Birds (you can kind of see them in the background) and they thought that was the coolest thing in the world, and so did our neighbors.

 T-BALL
We put Caleb in T-Ball and he loved it....not so much the playing T-Ball part, but the playing with friends, running to the bases, ok, well running to where he thought he was supposed to run to.  :D  He also loved playing in the dirt, talking to the kids on the bases, and trying to catch the balls when they were hit.  One of my favorite stories is when his 3rd base coach told him to run home and he ran from 3rd to the dugout with tears as he said to me, "My coach told me to go home".  It was sad and funny at the same time.  He also believe that wearing his "PF Fliers" like in the Sandlot, that he could run faster because that's what his cousin Ben told him.
the PARK

We have always lived by a park, so we go there a lot to play from Spring to Fall.  The boys (and I am talking about all three of them :D) love to play tag on the playground.  They love meeting new kids and making new friends.

We love to be outside and most of the summer is outside playing, especially in the evenings with the neighbors.  We have a great neighborhood and are so blessed to have so many great neighbors!
OUR CRUISE

One of our favorite vacations for sure!  We went with my sister and her new husband and had an amazing time!  We love the ocean...and the food wasn't bad either!!

We hiked up the Dunn's River in Jamaica and it was FREEZING, but really fun.  Then in Grand Cayman we were able to swim with dolphins and the sting rays.  Josh was braver than me with the sting rays.

KIDS WILL BE KIDS
One day Daddy left the water on by accident and it flooded part of our yard.  So Caleb, Corbin and our neighbors ran around and played in the mud.  They had a blast.  They love playing in anything that gets them wet!

CAKES
We love birthdays at our house.  Our kids really love their cakes.  They talk about what kind of cake they want all year long.  Josh has made their cakes for the last couple of years and does such a great job.  This year Caleb even drew a picture of what he wanted his Angry Birds Space cake to look like and Josh tried to make it look just like his drawing.  He is such a great Daddy!

MOAB
We love going to Moab with our boys and friends.  On this trip we brought our friends from Holland.  Caleb actually hiked all the way up to Delicate Arch by himself and was such a trooper!  He even carried a little bear in his shirt all the way up.  Corbin was able to ride on Daddy's back and wasn't sad about that :D  We have quite a few friends from Europe and they always love Moab.  Hopefully we will be able to go to Europe to visit our friends in Germany soon and see the beautiful things they have there.

LIGHTS AT TEMPLE SQUARE

This year we took the Frontrunner down to see the lights with my family.  I think the boys enjoyed riding the train as much as they did seeing all the Christmas lights.

Being Adventurous
One great thing about Josh is he is always letting the boys do things that I am too scared as a mom to let them do-like climb trees.  They never get hurt and it is good for them to try to do things-I am just a little more protective-probably like all moms are!  That's why it is great to have dads to let kids be kids sometimes!
