Our Story:

Josh and I met through one of my friends that was serving with him on his mission.  When he returned home we dated for three months, were engaged for six months and married in the Salt Lake Temple by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland.  It was one of the most special experiences we have ever had.  Since our wedding day we have moved just three times and now are in a home we will be in for many years.  We have had two amazing boys, traveled, went to Disneyland too many times :D.
Our lives have been full of great times with our family and friends.  Our boys are hilarious and make us laugh everyday.
Our adoption journey began almost ten years ago when I was told that I would most likely not be able to have biological kids, and if I was to get pregnant, it would be really hard for me to carry the baby full term.  A few years later we looked into adopting a baby from Haiti.  We had just started the process of adoption when I became pregnant.   We were so excited!  Eleven weeks later, I miscarried.  It was really hard, but I thought that I could become pregnant now so we kept trying.

Thankfully I became pregnant soon after with our first son, Caleb.  At thirty weeks I was admitted to the hospital and delivered Caleb five days later.  He was only 3 pounds 3 ounces.  He was in the NICU for six weeks before we got to take him home.    It was a rough first year, but we were just so thankful to have him home and doing so well considering all the things that could have gone wrong.   Three years later we learned we were going to have another boy.  This pregnancy I was put on bedrest at 27 weeks with contractions at least every thirty minutes and was in the hospital six times during the next ten weeks.

With medication and a lot of prayers, our sweet baby Corbin was born at 37 weeks.   We were so blessed to be able to hold him and take him home with us after he was born.  It was such an amazing experience because I didn’t get to hold Caleb for three days after he was born and it was only for a few minutes.   We have had quite the journey to get our boys here.   We have always felt like one day we would adopt and now feel like this is the right time for our family.   We are so excited to see what this journey will be like and can’t wait to complete our family!   Our boys can't wait to get their baby sister!
