I met Terra in Junior High School and we have been friends ever since. I met Josh while they were dating and he is perfect for her. They both are highly creative and are very successful at using their talents in their work and at home. I love going to their house and seeing the murals painted on the walls in their boys rooms and all of the beautiful photos that hang in their home. Josh and Terra have really been the glue that has kept our friendship going over the years. Even though I have lived in another state for the past 11 years they have kept in touch with me through phone calls and we always try to get together when I am in town. They have introduced us to so many fun, new games and we have enjoyed getting our families together to play at museums and parks. Josh and Terra have a wonderful sense of humor and are very playful with their boys. Their energy amazes me! They are wonderful parents and I can clearly see that they love their boys! Terra is someone that I can count on to be there for me whenever I need her. She has helped me through many difficult times in my life, and I love her for that! Josh and Terra inspire me with her natural ability to make and keep friends, and their drive to accomplish anything they set their mind too. I am truly honored to call them friends!
Terra and Josh are some of the most fun loving, down-to-Earth people we have ever met! We have known both of them for seven years, and although life has taken us in different directions, Terra and Josh have always made sure to keep in touch, celebrate our successes, and support us through difficult times-no matter the mileage between us. They are the kind of people who bring sunshine wherever they go. Josh is genuinely kind and hard working; creative and always ready for an adventure. One of our first impressions of him was when their family invited our family over to their home for dinner. Josh was giving us the grand tour of their home, and we walked into Caleb's bedroom. It was like stepping into a beautiful dream. Josh had taken hours upon hours to create, sketch and hand paint a mural of clouds and sky, with airplanes and pictures of their grandfather from WWII displayed for their little son. It was every boy's dream room! We were so impressed with his dedication and sentiment. The things that Josh chooses to spend his time on always show his love for life, and his great love and devotion to his family. Terra is honestly one of the most positive people we have ever met. We have rarely ever seen Terra without a smile--even in serious times of inconvenience (like the time her flight was canceled and she was stranded in a strange city with no way to get home for two days), she manages to spin an adventure or a positive lesson out of everything that comes her way (subsequently, that strange city happened to be the one we were living in and we happened to have the best little staycation of the year with Terra--eating out and site seeing, watching great t.v. episodes and getting sugar highs off of Ben & Jerry's...it was a crazy mishap for her that she turned into an adventure and fabulous memories for everyone around her!). Terra is a go-getter! She can take on the world and still have enough time for dinner and playing outside with her boys. She has a great sense of style and is a wonderful homemaker who cares deeply about her family and takes time to strengthen her relationships with them. Josh and Terra love so absolutely and wholly and are just made to add more goodness and vibrancy to their family!
From Tara & Kevin My husband Kevin and I have known Terra since she was 16. I would like to say that she was a normal teenager, but in so many ways she was not. She was the most grounded teenager I had ever met. I was serving as YW camp director and later as her Laurel class advisor, so I got to know her in a very personal way. A long lasting friendship developed, and later we learned that we were connected through genealogy, and now our sisterhood was concrete! She is compassionate, loving, and a sincere friend. We were there to witness Terra and Josh getting to know each other. We had a feeling that this relationship might be the one that would end Terra’s single life. We were with them on their first date and their first kiss was in our driveway. Josh is creative, hard working and loves playing with his family! Through college graduations, jobs, family planning, church service, the challenges of bringing both of their children into the world, and the love they share with each other and family and friends, we have in a very real way watched them grow into the loving, spiritual, awesome parents they are. I pray your adoption journey will bring you a lifetime of love, laughs and joy! Lots of love guys!

Josh and Terra are exceptional people I am so blessed to know & give the highest personal recommendation. When my son was diagnosed with a terminal disease almost 7 years ago I met Terra. She not only shared her gift of photography by taking priceless cherished pictures for our family, but she also shared her heart and I have never been the same. She has been a vital support all these years. She has the ability to see and meet needs most others can't. Not only are they incredible examples of charity, but they also know how to have fun! I can't think of a better family to grow up in.

Terra always strikes me as the motherly type. She has been a source of comfort and encouragement for me too many times to count! Whenever I have needed a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear, she is always the first to offer. Along with being a fellow talented photographer, I have found such an amazing friend and example in her. She seems to do it all! Not only does she keep up with all her kids activities with school on top of work, she finds times for those little moments with her sweet boys. On one occasion while visiting overnight with her, I was invited to join her cute little family for prayer. I was so touched by the spirit felt there. They have a little tradition where everyone takes a turn to say their own prayer for the family. Nothing is sweeter then a child's prayer and especially one that is so truly heart felt and honest as these boys. They know from the example of their parents the importance of talking to their Heavenly Father and that he listens to them! And as soon as the last "amen" was said, the boys then did their other nightly ritual... ATTACK DADDY! haha What a fun and loving family they are! Its examples like this in my life that make me a better mother and parent to my own cute kids. I know in my heart that any baby that comes to their home will be met with so much love and tenderness!! Terra has told me that this little girl already has Josh wrapped around her finger and they haven't even met her yet!! I am so excited for them and their adventure that lies ahead to find and bring home the sweet baby meant for them!
From Brianna & Nate Josh & Terra were some of our first “couple” friends that we met shortly after we were married. Terra is an extremely talented photographer, who uses her gift to serve others in many capacities. Josh is friendly, outgoing, and quick to make people he doesn’t know feel welcome. We enjoy catching up with both Josh and Terra at BBQ’s and game nights… they are two of our favorite people to beat at the game night table!

I first met Terra and Josh about 7 years ago when I was the nurse for their oldest son in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. We immediately hit it off and continued our friendship after their son was discharged. I have watched them grow from young, new parents into the excellent mother and father that they are today. I cannot think of two better people. They are a wonderful couple, together as well as individually, and a great example to their children. I am ever impressed by the patience and love with which they teach and support their boys. I am proud to count them among my dearest friends and feel that any child would be lucky to be a part of their little family.

I have had the privilege of knowing Terra since 7th grade. Terra is a smart, fun, successful, incredibly artisitc, loyal, selfless and caring person. I am in awe of her, she can do anything that she sets her mind to. She is the kind of person who puts other people's needs above her own. She has always been such a good friend to me and always makes me happy when I'm around her. Terra is not only an amazing friend but an amazing mother to her two sweet boys. She's had a rough time with both of her pregnancies and wanted so much for her unborn babies to be healthy. She did whatever was needed to make that happen. In fact with her second child, she had to be on bed rest which was incredibly hard since she's not one to sit still for too long. I know that Terra is an amazing mother because she has two incredibly smart, bright and happy children. I feel that any child would be so lucky to have Terra as their mother.

Josh and Terra are two of the coolest people we know, and coming from California, that says a LOT
We met them while attending college and the rest is well, history. Speaking for myself (me, Mike), I would be remiss if I didn't give them credit for making our college experience as fun and adventurous as anyone could imagine. We had the opportunity not only to see them nearly every day during our college career, but also spend quality time with them in their home and in ours. We experienced all seasons of life with them and for that we are grateful.
We look back on those times with great fondness, especially when we think of how it became the foundation of an endearing friendship that lived through multiple moves that separated us by great distances, and yet they have been constant and caring to stay by our sides and remain the friends they were from 'back in the day.'
Though we still live far from Josh, Terra and now their two beautiful children, we never feel far from their hearts. There's no doubt in our minds that their love—the love they've shared with us countless times and in countless ways—will bless the life of the child (and children) they welcome into their home as much as it has blessed our lives.
The only words that come close to, though still far from, expressing the way we feel are 'Thank You.' And if I may speak personally once again, thank you for everything you've done for me and my family—it means more than you'll ever know.
